Chris just keeps releasing hit after hit, its amazing, "Crash" "Feels like tonight" and "What about now"! They just keep coming and topping the Charts!Daughtry's singles "Its not over" and "Home" and their new hit "over you" have been blowing up the charts! Daughtry even performed "Home" on American Idol! "Home" has reached number 1 on top 40 Charts!!
Chris Daughtry starts his own band, "Daughtry" and has released their debut album, and their debut single "Its not over". Pick their Album up in stores today!
Chris Daughtry received several offers to join a few bands, including Fuel , but Chris decided to stay on his own, which was best for him at the time.
In the most shocking elimination yet Chris was voted off American Idol Wednesday May 10th! All were shocked with disbelief that their obvious idol winner was unexpectedly voted off!! Fans were absolutely outraged. I know I was completely shocked when they said that Kathryn and Chris were the bottom two! I was sure that it was Elliot and Taylor. We all know Chris Daugherty is going to get a record deal and reach super-stardom but it would have been nice for him to rein as this seasons American Idol. He was the best their and should have won, its unfortunate that it happened.
26 year old Chris Daughtry is definitely one of the most talented men on American Idol Season 5. Chris is from McLeansville, NC. In some of his interviews Chris has said that he seriously started singing around 16 or 17. Chris used to be in a band called Absent Element but always dreamed or reaching stardom. His favorite singers are Rob Thomas and Kelly Clarkson. Chris also enjoys drawing, painting, or any other type of art. Chris is completely dedicated to his wonderful wife, Deanna who has two children which Chris took on as his own. Chris also says that his hero is his wife and shes also his lucky charm! Chris has had his ups and downs on the show but lately hes been doing wonderful! Not only does Chris have an amazing voice but I've also learned that he wrote his own songs when in the band Absent Element.
Therefore it took years to develop the strength and range it takes to deliver
Absent Elements' screaming sound. My song writing comes straight from the heart.
I write about my relationship with God, my wife (who inspires most of my lyrics)
and other life experiences. If it did'nt happen to me, I can't effectively

Nov 2006- Chris has started his own band called "Daughtry". Album due out soon, you can even preorder it on some websites. Check back for dates due to release.
August 16, 2006 - Chris Daughtry drafts Fuel's guitarist Carl Bell along with "My Chemical Romance's" producer to work on his up and coming record. His record is set to release on November 21!!!
Recently I've heard Chris's version of "Dead or Alive" on the Radio! At least the boy is getting some airplay while his record is in the works!
July 10 2006 - Chris has signed a record deal with RCA Records, about a month earlier Chris turned down Fuels offer to join their band claiming he was "going to be doing my own thing." He definitely was right since only a month later he was signed by a large record company. We can only wait and anticipate Chris's return to the music scene. Keep your eyes open!
